Preform desiccants are compact, concentrated adsorbents that protect devices from humidity degradation throughout the products’ useful lives.

Used within in electronic and optical devices, preforms protect their sensitive components from the inside of the device.   Available in varied and complex shapes, they can be designed to optimally fit inside device housing . 

Depending on the adsorption characteristics desired, various types of active materials can be used including silica gel, molecular sieve and activated carbon.  In addition to moisture adsorption, preforms can be customized to adsorb other unwanted gases or volatiles.
